The way a firefighter knows where a fire is is he or she carries a pager. The 911 dispatcher get a 911 call and if that call involves a fire, motor vehicle accident , or other disasters a firefighters pager sounds. ( picture here )

Knox Box

If you own a commercial business it is a good idea to have the Knox Box system . The Knox Box is a device that has a key that only fire ,police or other officials can use for emergencies. It is a small box that will be attatched on the side of your building .

Burning

You should never burn any kind of rubber or plastic materials EVER. Wood and or brush should be burned . No flammable liquids should be used . GASOLINE , DIESEL ,KEROSINE, and other flammable liquids should not be used.

Fire Dept Response

Fire departments respond to fires , motor vehicle accidents ,and other emergencies . Some special firefighters also work as EMT's.An EMT is a Emergency Medical Technician wich responds with the Paramedics.
